Community Guidelines

Disagree with a book, not with a person. Harassment, threats, hate speech, slurs and targeted insults are not allowed, in reviews, in clubs or in private messages.

Anything that reveals a plot point goes behind the spoiler tool. It takes one tap and it keeps the service pleasant for people who are still reading.

Review books you have actually read, or say that you did not finish. Do not post reviews you were paid for without saying so, and do not create accounts to boost your own books or sink someone else's.

Short quotes are fine; posting large extracts, scans or links to pirated copies is not.

No sexual content involving minors, no doxxing, no spam, no scams, no malware. Content that sexualises or endangers anyone is removed and reported.

Club admins set the tone of their club and can remove members and posts. They follow these same guidelines; a club cannot be used to get around them.

We may remove the content, warn you, restrict features or close your account depending on how serious it is. To report something, write to privacy@noshelfcontrol.ca with a link to the content.
